We’re hiring

Housing Project Worker

Do you have the experience and expertise to make a difference to the lives of people who have been homeless? Do you have the determination and resolve to sustain you through challenging and demanding situations? If you do, we have a vacancy that meets your profile.

Restore provides homes for men and women who have been or are at risk of being homeless. Critically we also provide support for our tenants through mentoring, advisory and personal development opportunities. Without support many of our tenants would return to lifestyles that put them at risk of being homeless again. This support is provided by our Housing Project Workers. The process of moving from supported living into an unsupported tenancy and employment can be a slow process and requires great patience.

Restore provides homes for 31 people who need support to maintain their tenancies with plans to expand our provision in 2019. New tenants are referred by a range of agencies. Homes are provided without prejudice or favour to those who will benefit from the support we offer. Restore was formed in 2010 by Christians with a shared vision to help homeless people in York and remains dependent on the prayers and generosity of the Christian community to fulfil and maintain its vision. The successful candidate will need to feel comfortable with the ethos and aims of Restore.
