Restore’s charitable aims are to provide homes and support for those who would otherwise be homeless.
Restore has eight properties in York providing homes for a total of 31 tenants at any one time. Once housed, our staff work with our tenants to give them the support they need to help them get to the root of the issues that caused them to become homeless and achieve their full potential in life. This is called The Engagement Project.
There are seven main areas where we aim to engage with tenants to support them. These are education and training opportunities, work experience, addressing their therapeutic needs, encouraging physical exercise, encouraging social activities, finding them appropriate mentors and befrienders and giving them the opportunity to access support offered by local churches.
